Winter has well and truly arrived in Melbourne. Although I don't enjoy the cold, it does bring a certain atmosphere to the city to see it in the darkness and the rain. Loving these photos I took in the city centre lately one misty evening. I think it makes a very cool colour palette. Perhaps a source of inspiration for my next set of designs!? Who knows!

Its been awhile since I last posted, so hello again!

This semester has been a crazy one, no time for rest! I wanted to share my final exam garment I created using a red curtain I found at my local thrift store. The concept behind this exam was creating a found item into something new! I made an abaya, which is essentially like a rope but used for formal gatherings and as an easy way to cover the body for modesty. I am so happy with the results and it was my first time creating a garment!
